Julian D. Levin, 83, beloved husband of Sandra and the late Phyllis; loving father of Marcia (Bruce) Diamond, Wendy (Steven) Burdeen, Sharon (Joshua) Karmel; dear step-father of Diane (Mike) Jew, Larry (Charlie) Schiller, Judy (Robert) Litt and Linda (Ed) Pong; cherished Poppa of Elizabeth (Melanie), Michael (fiance Elise), Daniel, Parker, Simon, Noah, Rachel, Ben, Sarah, Jacob, Nathan, Harrison, Oliver, Emily, Sam, Meagan, Jason, Samantha and Sophie; treasured brother of Sylvia (the late Jospeh) Litwin and Pauline (the late George) Bernard; loving uncle and friend to many. Chapel Service today, Tuesday at 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Many memories from when I was in my early teens working at sheffield auto with my dad and julian are plentiful. You could always find julian at the radiator tank at sheffield….with the torch in his hand. I remember riding along with him in the car when he went to the bank at work the drive thru had a turntable you would drive on and they would turn the turntable so you could drive out .. I loved that as a kid. I remember julians office and the big safe in there and what seemed like a hundred pictures of marsha, wendy and sharon . A lot of great childhood memories thanks to julian and my dad and sheffield auto.He will be missed.
